Xavi LlonguerasXavi Llongueras Orriols (Terrassa, 1963). Actually living in Prullans.

TDS (High Sports Technical), High Mountain Guide (EEAMB 1996-2006).

During several years he has been practising his two big passions, mountaineering and fotografía as hobbies. He actually is a High Mountain Guide and photographer in outdoor BTT races, mountaineering marathons or climbing competitions.

He's been a Servei General d'Informació de Muntanya (General Mountain Information Service) membre since 1982. He has also been working as High Mountain Guide for NKBV (Alpine dutch team) since 1998 and is an Asociación Profesional Aragonesa de Guías de Montaña member.

After working 6 winters as a lifeguard pister in a catalan ski station, he spent a few seasons of the southern summer working as a High Mountain Guide for Azimut 360 and Chilemontaña, two agencies located in Chile, leading clients through the Patagonia and into America's highest, the Aconcagua.

Since 2005 he leads his own clients to the Cerro Plomo and the Aconcagua as a freelancer in its own agency. From September 2007 he is the CEO of the Companhia de Guies de Muntanha agency, bound to Carros de Foc.

He has taken part in many expeditions to Andes in South America and Himalaya, Karakorum and Hindu Kush in Asia.

Within his trips you can count the second Himalaya's crossing in BTT in 1987; the ascent to the Ararat peak (5,165 meters) in Turkey in 1989, with the downhill from 4,400 metres by practising BTT; the solo ascent of the Huayna Potosí in Bolivia or three ascents to Aconcagua's peak, which is 6,959 meters, in Argentina acting as a High Mountain Guide.

With his camera in his hands, he visited Vietnam, Brazil, Jordan, Egypt, India or Laos, among other countries in Europe and America.

  • 1990: Iceland's deserts crossing in BTT.
  • 1991: Cerro los Patos, summit (5,850 meters). Atacama's desert, Chile.
  • 1992: Huayna Potosí, summit (6,165 meters). Bolivia. Solo.
  • 1993: Climbings in Europe.
  • 1994: Diran Peak (7,268 meters). Karakorum. Pakistan.
  • 1995: Vietnam. Due to photo related work.
  • 1995: Paine's north tower (2,600 meters). Patagonia. Chile.
  • 1996: Tirich Mir (7,487 meters). Hindu Kush. Pakistan.
  • 1997: Climbings in Europe.
  • 1998: Climbings in Brazil. Due to photo related work.
  • 1999: Neverseen Tower (5,980 meters). Himalaya. India.
  • 1999: Shivling (6,500 meters). Himalaya. India.

  • 2002: Some volcano ascents in Chile.
  • 2003-2004: Cerro Plomo, summit (5,500 meters) and Aconcagua, summit (6,959 meters) two times, Cerro San Valentin (4,458 meters) and trekkings in the Patagania working as a guide for Azimut 360 (agency located in Chile). In the same 2004, attempt to Cerro Juncal (6,100 meters) and to Cerro Fitz Roy (3,341 meters).
  • 2005, 2006 and 2007: Cerro Plomo and Aconcagua as a freelancer High Mountain Guide in its own agency, in colaboration with Chilemontaña (agency located in Chile).
